XI
I’m really quite sick.
I avoided staying after school, and dance class, so that I could come home and rest. This isn’t going to be good for school, as I’m behind in most of my classes. Splendid.
Today I went to the JETS competition. JETS stands for Junior Engineering Technical Society. A bunch of different schools get a bunch of problems about engineering. It’s soooo hard. (Seriously, sometimes I wonder if the physics teacher at our school could do them.) But you do what you can and guess on the rest.
I was put on the varsity team, and only one junior a year is selected to do that. (I don’t know why they didn’t choose my friend, Tanya, as we both went as a sophomore last year, and she is better at math. But hey. I guess I shouldn’t complain.) So, I haven’t even had a physics class, and was basically the deadweight of the group. Ah well.
Next year I’m planning on getting our team to practice, as we didn’t do one bit of preparation this year.
Our JV team didn’t place, and the varsity team I was on got third place in the small school division. Not too bad, I guess, though there were only like six schools. (We beat out the two other schools we were sharing the bus with, though, so we got bragging opportunities.)
