Day of the Snowball Pageant.
I was Katie Rowles’s backstage assistant. It was lots of fun. There was food, and lots of clothing changes.
Everyone was gorgeous, all gussied up and gowned! Their talents all went excellent. Haruna, the foreign exchange student, sang beautifully. I was really impressed with her. If she could have won, the other girls would have been in trouble. (=])
The final tally came in like this:
- Essay Winner: Kat Lewis
- Miss Congeniality: Emily Kantz
- Second Runner Up: Amy McCoy
- First Runner Up: Kat Lewis
- Winner: Darien Kopps
And my love looked quite dapper in the suit he was wearing in order to escort Katie.
It was a really fantastic show.
I deeply, deeply regret my choice not to participate in it. It was I choice I made out of practicality, but sometimes that isn’t always the most important thing. Your heart is more important than any amount of reason, and that’s something I’ve learned.
